Making the most out of business & travel

Who doesn’t like a nice flexible working holiday? Although we work hard, we also like to play hard and create a good balance between business and pleasure. We asked bleisure travellers if they change their working hours during business travel and 26% said they did. By doing this, you can make the most of out of the destination you’ve travelled to and enjoy things at your own pace.

You may spend the whole day rushing between meetings, getting together with clients and visiting offices, but its nice to take a breather during these busy times and take in all the destination has to offer.

New YorkImagine taking a lunch break in New York. Lose yourself in the sounds and sights of Central Park as you sip on your Caffè Americano and enjoy a tasty bagel in the sun. Sit on the grass and take a moment to slow down and relax as you people-watch, enjoy the scenery or discover interesting spots in this gargantuan and world-famous park.

One of the greatest perks of bleisure travel is that although you may be working all day, you have the option of dining out for dinner once the day is over. How does a glass of sparkling champagne accompanied by artisanal cheeses and fresh bread sound? Especially when that table you’re sitting at is located along the Seine River in Paris and allows you to take in all the French culture and fascinating sights.

Sometimes bleisure travellers will change around their working hours or days so they can also spend time visiting some of the attractions. You’ve travelled all the way here so it would be a pity to miss out on what the city has to offer! It can be a great idea to concentrate and get the important work business out of the way, but then add in a few extra days for some ‘me-time’. If you’ve come to one of the top finance cities in the world, like London for example, it would be a shame to miss out on Big Ben, the Tower of London or Westminster Abbey.

Remember, they say its important to have a healthy work-life balance and you should work to live, don’t live to work.
