Mostly A: Tenerife, Spain
The beautiful Spanish island of Tenerife is the ideal summer spot for those who would like to relax and enjoy the sun. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit the glorious historical monuments and castles, the plethora of museums and art galleries and the magnificent churches. We also recommend a stop at one of the many rooftop bars and restaurants, where you can have a shot of Ginjinha accompanied by the best grilled sardines in Europe. Wrap up the night with a traditional fado concert at one of the local bars in Lisbon’s Old Quarter.
Mostly C: Split, Croatia
The coastal city of Split is the second largest in Croatia. It’s an incredibly lively city, and a stroll down The Riva will convince you of that. This pedestrian heaven is brimming with open air cultural activities, cafés and restaurants, where you can have a strudel as an afternoon treat. From the Marjan hilltop it’s possible to admire Split in all its glory and even catch a glimpse of the Diocletian Palace, the Cathedral of Saint Domnius and several other historical landmarks. Finish your day of sightseeing with a walk on the west coast, where the sunset colours the trees with beautiful amber lights.
Mostly D: Santorini, Greece
If you chose mainly D’s as your answer, then the perfect summer spot for you is the stunning Greek island of Santorini. Even though it is still an active volcano, the last eruption occurred 3,600 years ago, so don’t worry! Let this precious gem entice you to fall in love with its beautiful beaches, such as Perissa, Monolithos, Perivolos and the Red Beach. Kamari is probably the most touristic beach, full of upscale resorts, energetic pubs and international cuisine restaurants. The crystal clear waters of Amnoudi Bay are the finest swimming spots on Santorini. Restore your energy after a full day of fun activities by having a bite of the deliciously sweet Loukoumades. Alternatively, those looking for something stronger can sip on the famous Greek Ouzo drink.
