Secret Savers: Guys holidays for £4,000 – How far can you get?

Every guy loves a holiday with many of us having the explorer gene somewhere tucked away inside. To visit far flung places, enjoy different cultures and then brag about it all once home. A recent Auto Europe poll suggests that most men budget on average £4,000 to spend on such things as luxury holidays and travel.

Top of many lists are luxury holidays in Asia; Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam and Malaysia – societies so rich in cultural heritage and surrounded by amazing landscapes. Likewise, can be said about South America; Mexico, Ecuador, Venezuela and Brazil. The list can be endless. Different types of holidays depend on the experience sought. Each destination has its ups and downs, but all are character building.

Perfect holidays can often still be done on a budget. Often there is no need to overlook the tried and tested locations, which have been immortalised for endless amounts of fun. That’s why, normally, the first thing that springs to mind is Las Vegas, USA!

Las Vegas – as if it needs much introduction – is a city based in the Nevada Mojave Desert, USA. Famed for its round the clock casinos, vibrant nightlife, themed hotels, untold entertainment and dancing water fountains. Las Vegas is surprisingly cheap to get too and even very economical to stay in. From London, it is possible to fly direct to Las Vegas and enjoy a holiday from as little as £890! Throw in premium car hire at around £160 for 5 days and a motel at £125, leaves with a rather healthy budget of £3,025 to splash out on fun, food, exploring and did I say fun?

Upon arrival, after collecting the car hire and settling into the motel – It’s time to hit the Las Vegas strip. For as little as £63, grab a Las Vegas Explorer Pass and make the most of all that it offers. By far the best method to explore everything that Sin City has to offer. Simply choose three to five attractions from a list of 25, all of which are laid out in the guidebook provided. The list is extensive and caters to everyone’s tastes. Visit Marvel Avengers, Madame Tussauds, CSI: The Experience, the Hoover Dam Tour or ride on the Big Bus Tour, all easily accessible with the swipe of the pass.

Day two brings new adventures. With the hectic day of sightseeing behind, it’s time to live the cowboy lifestyle. From only £105, take a horseback ride along Red Rock Canyon and experience breath-taking rugged landscapes round every corner. So find the Clint Eastwood within and see Las Vegas from a different prospective.

Horseback Riding on you holidays

Day three comes around and hopefully the horseback riding hasn’t taken too much of a toll. Either way, today is a much more up in the air affair. Meaning, it’s a great day for tandem skydiving! From £200 savour all that being weightless has to offer. Simply strap up, climb to approximately 2 miles above ground level and… jump. Feel the adrenaline rush, fear and joy mixed in one sensation as whilst free falling at 125mph until ultimately, the parachute opens.

Day four is another day filled with adrenaline – although with feet firmly on the ground. Today we will take a thrilling ride through the Primm Valley and Hidden Valley by budgie. This 6-hour tour will cross through incredible rugged landscapes, up trails, to mountain tops and back down. Included in the price is also a short stop at Buffalo Bill’s Hotel, before returning back to base camp by night fall.

Buggey trail on your holidays

Final day arrives and the prospect of returning home becomes more of a reality. Day five however isn’t totally over! If flying out in the evening then there may still be time to fit in an exotic car driving experience and race around the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. With a large selection of sports cars to choose from, spoilt for choice would be an understatement. Jump into a Porsche, Aston Martin, Corvette, Ferrari or Lamborghini from as little as £200 and make it a last day to remember.
